 HYDROGEN CARS: THE GENZ’S VARIATION

    


Is there a future in hydrogen cars? This has been the main contention among the new age individuals as a recent announcement has been made by the Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, Mr. Nitin Gadkari has stated that India would be moving towards use of hydrogen engine vehicles by 2030 which also means that the use of petroleum for running vehicles would also be limited and reduced. The need of the electric vehicles as a substitute against the already running petroleum vehicles but due to the high cost and price of the electric vehicles which led to electric vehicles becoming unaffordable for the middle class population of India which was not serving the purpose for which electric vehicles were introduced.


DRAWBACKS OF OTHER VARIANTS OF VEHICLES: 

The other variants of vehicles have been in existence in the market for a long time such as petroleum and CNG variants, however due to their high prices and harmful effects on the environment the use of other variants of vehicles have been reduced and substitutes have been introduced in the automotive sector to improve the efficiency of the vehicles and reduce the drawbacks of other such variants.

 Electric vehicles were found to be one of the contending substitutes in the automotive sector but various reports were found related to the heating and burning effects of such vehicles which discouraged people from buying such vehicles.

Hydrogen vehicles: The new age auto vehicles 

By 2030, India is planning to introduce hydrogen vehicles to be in use across various kinds of vehicles such as HGV's, buses and rails which would also lead to increased demand of low carbon hydrogen transport in near future. 

Hydrogen vehicles also have reduced disadvantages as compared to the electric vehicles who have various limitations relating to disposal of lithium ion batteries and also unavailability of charging ports, etc. Thus, hydrogen vehicles are the new options that are available as an environment friendly automotive substitute for the market.

CONCLUSION: Hence, it is rightly to be said that hydrogen vehicles are the upcoming substitutes in the automotive market which have gained much significance and attraction of the Indian Government and are rightly said to be the future of genz's vehicle market.
